The Vizcarra family has grown grapes in the region for more than 4 generations, but Juan Carlos Vizcarra was the first to take the grapes and make estate-bottled wine in 1991. High elevation, limestone-clay soils and the climate allows for a longer ripening period and results in more expressive wines with intense aromas. This 100% Tempranillo has tasting notes of dark berries, violet and vanilla with a smoky, oaky finish. Pair this red with leg of lamb or braised short ribs.
