Domaine De Truchasson Cotes De Duras Rouge 750mL

A 20 hectares Domaine located on the limestone plateau of Duras at the border of 3 different wine regions : Bordeaux, Bergerac and Duras.Thierry Teyssandier is the 4th generationrunning this estate. The vineyard is planted with a large majority of Merlot and some small parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Thierry's motto is to harvest as late as possible to seek the optimum maturity of the grapes. The harvest starts during the night and finishes early in the morning. Keeping fresh grapes is a good asset to protect the berries and prevent oxidation. Then, Thierry carries out a cold maceration during 3 or 4 days to extract colors and fruit aromas. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are done in a temperature controlled stainless steel vat. Once the final blend is approved, the bottling takes place at the estate.

80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting:
Domaine de Truchasson shows a deep red color. The nose reveals a broad range of red fruits aromas. In the mouth, the tannins are well rounded and the finish is long.
