Disznoko Tokaji Late Harvest 2016 500mL

The Late Harvest is made primarily from botrytized Furmint grapes, one of the traditional grape varieties used for making the Disznoko 5 Puttonyos and 6 Puttonyos wines. There is also a small percentage of two other local grapes: Hárslevelu (10%) and Zeta (5%). This wine is aged for only a few months in traditional Hungarian oak casks, and is then bottled, capturing its freshness.

Tasting Notes:

Pale gold colour. Floral nose with candied fruits, lychee, tangerine. The palate is rich with good and round acidity; mouth filling, quite broad structure, very pleasant and harmonious.

Food Pairing:

Perfect aperitif both alone or with appetizers, chilled in summer on the terrace. Great with nibbles like prosciutto, olives, sun-dried tomato, pâté on toast, with main courses of seafood, fish, chicken and lightly-spiced dishes, goat cheese and fruit-based desserts. Ready to drink from the moment of bottling and for the next five years.
