Attention and dedication at every step, from its birth in the vineyard, to its transformation in the cellar, to its maturation in oak.

Only the healthiest, highest-quality clusters of Sangiovese are destined for Giodo’s Brunello di Montalcino. The wine’s maturation—a full two and a half years—takes place in French oak casks, followed by additional time in concrete vats and a further 18 months in bottle, a period of time that is essential for producing a Giodo Brunello di Montalcino of such elegance, balance, and depth. Tasting it reveals a wine of great breed—complex, deep, intriguing, intense, and velvety, not opulent or excessive, but with extraordinary length.

The bottle label is a story itself: a stylised man represents the Sangiovese supporting the world of wine, since this grape variety is the sole interpreter in Montalcino.

97 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

97 Points - Wine Enthusiast, December 2023. "The nose brings an umami sanguinity, with notes of tar, petrol and soil, but undertones of black cherries and blackberries make those aromas invigorating rather than harsh. The fruit ripens on the palate, but a slow-developing, spiced earthiness works with deliberate tannins and latent acid to maintain propriety."

96 Points - Falstaff, October 2023. "Bright medium dense ruby garnet colour. Opens with notes of blood oranges, fresh plums, black cherries, some rose petals in the background. Juicy and compact initially and when developing, shows a lot of dense tannins, multi-layered, with dark cherries, hearty drive on the finish."

95 Points - WinesCritic.com, Raffaele Vecchione, November 2022. "Opalescent on the nose, reminiscent of blue fruits such as blackberries, wild blueberries but also black prunes and currants. In the background fondent Modica chocolate, wild herbs like dandelion and cool mint. Medium to full bodied on the palate, well polymerized tannins and a fresh, juicy finale. Better from 2024."

18.5/20 Points - Vinum Wine Magazine, February 2023. "Enchanted with cherry fruit aromas, tobacco and spices; robust texture, the tannins well integrated and in symbiosis with the invigorating acidity, ending in an extremely elegant finale with delicate fruit aromas and balsamic notes. A finesse-rich and perfectly balanced wine with a future."
