La Fontenotte is a small lieu-dit on the northeastern end of the appellation as you go towards Meursault. A gently sloping hillside with rocky soils. This was previously planted to Pinot Noir, which performed poorly due to the high amount of limestone content in the soil.

Apples, fresh and baked as well as pear and quince fruit abound. Nice mineral with a hint of cream and butterscotch.
