Planteray O.F.T.D. is our take on a classic Navy Rum style. And not just ours: Alexandre Gabriel, our award-winning cellar master, scoured rum-joints around the world to find six grizzled old salts and together, they came up with this blend of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados, bottled at a full 20 degrees overproof, just the way they used to measure it in the Royal Navy.

Planteray’s take on a classic overproof rum, with a combination of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados rums bottled at 69% ABV. Seven rum-obsessed guys pitched in on this marathon experiment to define the key elements of an overproof rum. Alexandre Gabriel and his team developed over 1000 samples to try, and the crew came together to pick their favorite foundation for the perfect rum cocktail. They knew they’d found a winner when one exclaimed “Oh F*** That’s Delicious!” OFTD officially stands for Old Fashioned Traditional Dark, but the fabled “rum brothers” know the true secrets behind this unique recipe.
