Barolo 2013 is a wine that stands out for its refined elegance. With a luminous ruby color, it presents a bouquet of enveloping scents of rose, strawberry, and spices. In the mouth, it offers a slightly lighter structure with velvety tannins and a complexity of flavors that include raspberry, ginger, and a subtle mineral note. This Barolo is an oenological masterpiece that captivates the senses.
We can say that overall 2013 was a complicated year; however, those who were able to interpret it will have great satisfaction.
The start of the growing season was very slow due to the adverse weather conditions in spring, blossoming was regular in the second ten days of June but the delay was not recovered. This year we produced our 2013 Barolo.
2013 saw a very stunted start to spring, with very low temperatures in March and April. Afterwards, May was characterized by heavy rainfalls, while the weather conditions gradually improved starting from June. Summer was positive and not too hot, with good consequences again for late-harvesting vines, such as Nebbiolo. The weather was excellent from August to the harvest for our 2013 Barolo.
Grape Varietals:
100% Nebbiolo
Tasting Notes:
a clear ruby red colour, with light orange reflections; a rather intense and classic aroma, with a slight scent of wood and presence of wild berries. A lovely and harmonious taste with scents of liquorice and sweet tannins.
