Lynch-Bages 2015 has a brilliant, deep colour with purple hues. Its nose clearly expresses aromas of cassis and dark fruit, mixed with the empyreumatic notes that come with ageing. It has a straightforward attack and a voluminous yet supple mid-palate. The wine has a marked but silky tannic structure, and a persistent finish illustrative of a particularly ripe vintage.
Grape Varietals:
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
96 Points - Falstaff, March 2019. "Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge lightening. Attractive cassis, delicate floral components, black berry fruit, delicate of nougat and spices. Complex, ripe cherries, a hint of mint, elegant, round tannins, sticks well, very good terroir expression, fresh and adherent."
96 Points - Wine Enthusiast, January 2018. "This vintage was ideal for the rich style that this estate has made its own. This wine is full bodied and ripe with black-currant and dark berry fruits. The tannins fall into the cushioned wine with ease and richness. Of course, the wine should be aged, so wait until 2026."
96 Points - Bacchus Magazine
95 Points - The Wine Cellar Insider, May 2018. "Dark in color, the wine is powerful, deep, dark, concentrated and full bodied. The palate enjoys layers of fruits that are concentrated, long, fresh and vibrant. There is a great, crisp, crunchy quality to the fruits.. This will require at least a decade of age before it really starts to show its all."
17.5/20 Points - Vinum Wine Magazine, June 2018. "Juicy and dense, full-bodied, with tannins that have gained polish: pleasing development."
