The Skyside Cabernet Sauvignon is a very bold wine with black currant and blackberry on the nose with notes of tar and oak. The palate is broad with layers of spicy dark cherry and blue fruit wrapped in a supple texture. The finish is firm and long with balanced acidity. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 6% Syrah, 3% Petite Syrah. The Cabernet used in Skyside comes from high-density hillside vineyards in Sonoma’s, Alexander Valley and Chalk Hill wine growing districts. Merlot from the bench lands of Knight’s Valley add roundness while Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and small amount of Carignan add spice.
